There are currently 57 Million VBOs (Virtual Business Owners) in the U.S. alone, and continuing education is a must for these individual operators to stay on top of their game. Many VBOs, and really, learners of every variety consult online courses to learn skills that will help them advance their careers. If you’re an authority in a particular field, there’s a growing market of eager learners that

you can reach with an online course. Online course creation is a great opportunity for VBOs who want to share their expertise with learners around the world.

DESCRIPTION

Online course creators may create courses in which they share their own expertise on any number of topics. Or, they may create courses on the behalf of clients. Online course creators synthesize information from books, articles, blogs and more to inform the course.

They may combine that information with their own insights for personal courses. And they may also conduct interviews with industry leaders and subject matter experts. When working on behalf of a client, the course creator will interview the client and review any materials they provide for the course.

Once all the information has been gathered, the course creator will develop an outline for the course and write the script. From there, they may film themselves reciting the lesson, or create a PowerPoint and record a voice-over. They may also design worksheets, quizzes, and other elements to accompany the course.

Being an Online Course Creator requires great research and organization skills, and familiarization with elearning management systems. Creators can share their courses on sites like Udemy, Skillshare, Lynda and more.
